treatment details

Volumising dermal fillers use advanced technology, hyaluronic acid, used to volumize areas of the face. As we all age the natural appearance of the face changes. Our skull changes shape – the eye socket becomes larger and the jaw bone decreases in size, which both lead to changes in the way the skin sits on top of the bony structures. We all have fat pads that sit mainly in the mid face and assist in the way the skin profiles across our face. When a younger patient presents to dermalclinic®, there is often a small increase in shadowing around the Nasolabial fold (nose to mouth line) but nothing requiring a larger lifting capacity and for these patients a lighter dermal filler can be used such as JuvedermUltra, Restylane Volume™ or Belotero.

Volumisation

In slightly more mature patients the fixing points of the face such as the fat pads have been affected by the bone reabsorption mentioned above, the loss of hydration and the effects of gravity.

Brands

Using the full range of Restylane® Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers..

Specific dermal fillers are required to be injected in very specific parts of the face to provide either an effective lifting capacity or volumisation. Your own facial anatomy will be examined to determine what is required to counteract the affects that the ageing process has had on your appearance.

The areas of your face which are mainly affected by the ageing process are your temples, cheeks (mid cheek), lateral cheek bone (zygoma), lower face(jowls) and jaw and chin. Your dermal clinic expert will discuss with you, what treatment will give you the best outcome and price your treatment accordingly. Volumisation treatments usually last approximately 12 – 18 months in duration.
