There are two methods of skin needling – the Genuine Dermaroller and the eDermastamp. The treatment itself is performed using a small handheld device which pierces the skin by rolling tiny surgical steel needles over the area to be treatment. These tiny piercings stimulate the skin to rejuvenate itself by encouraging new growth of collagen, elastin and fibroblasts. The collagen and elastin production and increase in fibroblast activity strengthens the skin from within and leaves the skin looking and feeling smoother, firmer, brighter and healthier.

Prior to the treatment your practitioner will cover the skin with an aesthetic cream. This cream will be left in place for approximately 30-40 mins to numb the skin. Once numb, the skin is wiped clean then the rolling of the Genuine DermaRoller will start. The rolling is done in many different directions to fully stimulate the collagen and fibroblasts. Pin point bleeding and some very slight swelling are normal at this stage. This is not a painful treatment and most patients say that it just feels a bit scratchy but not sore.

EDS (Electronic Dermal Stamp)

Regeneration treatments take professional skin needling to a new, more advanced level using the eDermastamp, a German-engineered and manufactured medical device from the makers of the Genuine Dermaroller™. It has been specifically designed to give clinical practitioners greater control over intensive skin needling procedures while reducing any discomfort.

Once the rolling of the Genuine DermaRoller or the eDermastamp has been completed, Prescribed Solutions™, which contains oxygenating nanosomes, is applied and massaged into the skin. Prescribed Solutions™ speeds up the healing response of the skin and also moisturises the area.

Heliocare SPF50 is then applied to protect the skin from any UVA and UVB exposure.

The redness on your face or stretch mark is not extreme, just a bit like mild sunburn. Most patients just look like they have a slightly pink, healthy glow. 50% of this redness will have disappeared within the first 3 hours after Genuine DermaRoller.

You will not see any visible improvement in your skin for approximately six weeks from the date of this treatment. Some patients feel that their skin has a slightly tight feeling, and others say it feels slightly dry for a couple of days post procedure. This is normal and dermalclinic® recommend that you purchase PrescribedSolutions™ and Heliocare SPF50, this will be all the aftercare that is required. These two products should be applied frequently.

A course of treatment is recommended, but no more frequently than every 6 weeks.

Acne scarring and stretch marks will usually require about 5 treatment sessions. General skin rejuvenation will require approximately 3 treatment sessions.
