An advanced treatment technique, known as diathermy, can lessen and eliminate spider veins and thread veins on the face and body. Spider veins are visible and individual surface capillaries and diathermy uses heat current to treat the capillaries in the epidermal layers. Spider and thread veins can be caused by many things such as injury, trauma, sun exposure, rosacea or simply a fine skin texture.

Skin tags

Skin tags, or cutaneous papilloma, are benign growths which appear as small and fleshy protrusions from the skin. They often occur during and after middle age and can range from 1mm to 5mm in size. Most commonly found in fold areas of the body such as armpits, the neck and the groin, they can sometimes also be found on eyelids and near the eye. They can be very annoying as they can get caught in necklaces, other jewellery and clothes, but aren't harmful. Unfortunately they can't yet be prevented from forming and their cause isn't known. But the good news is that they can be removed with a simple and effective diathermy treatment.

Millia

Millia are often called milk spots and are keratin-filled cysts that appear under the epidermis. They can affect people at any age and usually found around the eyes and nose. They are very frequently confused with whiteheads and can be effectively treated with diathermy.
